I am a Middle School Science teacher at Westview Middle School, having served as an online Middle School Science teacher with the South Carolina Virtual Charter School. Having sixteen years of teaching experience, I am in my ninth year teaching Middle School Science.
I am married to a wonderful man, Kevin, and we have seven beautiful children: Erin, Sumpter, Caroline, Andrew, Sarah, Nathanael, and Daniel.
I love to read and to work with technology. Some of my newest technology “finds” are NearPod, DropBox, Edmodo, Evernote, CamStudio, ScreenCast, Flubaroo, TheAnswerPad, Kahoot, Socrative, TodaysMeet, EverySlide/NetClick, and Mendeley. I regualry use Google Classroom with Google Docs (and the newest Google Drive version), Google Forms, Google Slides, and Google Sheets to enhance instruction in the classroom. In 2012, I completed a Master’s degree in Education in Teaching and Learning with a Concentration in Educational Technology and Online Learning with Liberty University. Most recently, I have completed coursework as a doctoral candidate with Liberty University, seeking an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
